The General Accounting section is responsible for preparation of the annual financial statements. This requires a variety of support activities including registering and/monitoring accounting transactions, ensuring traceability and documentation, monitoring orders (used for accruals) for material expenditure, and responding to a significant number of hoc requests. The person will join the team to help with cover for a maternity leave.
Job Responsibility
Perform modifications on orders
Create commitments for certain types of contracts
Perform various monthly accounting operations
Participate in quarterly close activities
Perform balance-sheet accounts reconciliations
Maintain currency rates in the ERP and perform revaluations
Maintain regular and good quality contact with the various internal and external stakeholders in both English and French.
Requirements
Good knowledge of accounting bookings
Advanced user of EXCEL and an accounting ERP
Ability to communicate effectively in English and French
Valuable experience in an accounting service, preferably general accounting or financial accounting.
