Job Responsibility

Reviewing entered prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness
Performing calculations to ensure ingredients within a formula are measured and utilized properly
Inspecting batches visually in both sterile and non-sterile laboratories
Examining individual prescriptions visually to verify color, consistency, and overall appearance
Answering and making clarification phone calls dedicated for pharmacists
Performing pharmacist related activities such as patient consultation and documentation of errors
Offering guidance to providers regarding appropriate therapy and dosing for optimal individualized care
Coordinating with the Pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) for personnel, compliance, and regulatory matters
Developing and evaluating standard operating procedures for the compounding lab and formulations
Training and assessing pharmacy personnel
