Located in the western suburbs, this is a massive, brand-new player in the Cosmetics and Life Sciences space. This pivotal role offers the rare opportunity to help build the operational heartbeat of a high-growth enterprise from the ground up, joining the journey before the first batch hits the line. As a Compounder, you won't just be following a recipe, you will be an integral part of a sophisticated production environment. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end batching process, ensuring every product from sunscreens to high-end cosmetics meets rigorous quality and safety standards. This is a chance to work with state-of-the-art machinery in a facility designed for scale and precision.
Job Responsibility:
Execute the manufacturing of products strictly according to Batch Manufacturing Instructions (BMIs)
Dispense raw materials accurately and manage inventory via ERP/MRP systems
Maintain meticulous records according to GMP documentation standards and adhere to all PPE and hygiene protocols
Perform line clearances, clean and sanitise equipment, and ensure the facility remains audit-ready
Collaborate with the R&D Chemist for product reworks and report any deviations to the Quality Manager immediately
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot mixing, filling, and packing machinery
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years in a similar environment, specifically within Pharmaceuticals, Cosmetics, Sunscreen, or Life Sciences
Ideally, you hold a degree-qualified background in a relevant field
Proven experience operating and troubleshooting complex mixing and filling machinery
Proficiency in using ERP or MRP systems for material tracking
The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
A deep understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and a "right first time" attitude
