X Shore is in an exciting growth phase and is now looking for more composite assemblers for its factory in Nyköping, Sweden. Here you will have the opportunity to become part of an engaged team that together develops and manufactures the next generation of electric boats in a high-tech production environment. As a Composite Assembler, you will work hands-on with the manufacturing of composite components. The work is carried out both independently and together with colleagues in the team.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and maintain composite molds, including mold care and application of release agent
  • Work with composite materials in molds according to instructions and work procedures
  • Perform layup of materials such as fiberglass, carbon fiber, and other composites
  • Cut, place, and pack materials with high precision
  • Remove air and ensure correct lamination
  • Participate in vacuum processes and curing of composite parts
  • Perform quality control of own work
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in production
  • Work according to 5S principles and help maintain a safe, clean, and structured workplace

Requirements

  • Enjoys hands-on work and has an interest in craftsmanship, quality, and production
  • Detail-oriented and structured, with a strong eye for precision
  • Takes responsibility and ensures high-quality output

  • Good physical ability
  • Good English skills, both spoken and written

Nice to have

  • Experience in composite work or similar manufacturing within industries such as marine, automotive, aerospace, or wind power
  • Knowledge of carbon fiber, pre-preg materials, vacuum techniques, and mold care
  • Relevant education in composites or industrial production
  • Driving license: B and good knowledge of Swedish

Properly installs drawer slides, hinges, latches and other aircraft specific hardware in subassemblies. Disassembles and reassembles aircraft cabinetry, strips laminate or veneer covering from existing cabinets. Cuts, fits and trims laminate or veneer coverings and repairs damaged cabinetry. Using samples and/or technical drawings, fabricates custom cabinetry. Upon request, designs and fabricates high-end, made to order interior accessories. Remanufactures interior cabinetry items that are beyond repair. Proficient in the use of FAA certified materials and supplies to accomplish cabinetry tasks for use aboard C-40, VC-25, C-32 and C-37 aircraft, among others. Performs preventive maintenance, adjusts and repairs industrial machines. Coordinates maintenance efforts with the Production Supervisors and Maintenance Operation Coordination Center. Documents discrepancies in the applicable form and inputs data in Maintenance Information Systems (MIS). Assists in monitoring bench and shop stocks. Orders materials and supplies as required. Ensures compliance with the safety, housekeeping, tool control, and FOD prevention programs. Must be able to work first shift, second shift, third shift and/or weekend shift as required. May be tasked to perform work center additional duties with provided training to include TDY and travel. Must maintain training qualifications.
