Now, we're happy to offer you an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic team as a Compliance Team Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position located in Edinburgh City Centre. The salary ranges from £27,000 to £31,000 pa.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, inspire and motivate a team, drive performance across all areas to ensure we achieve high service levels while meeting the annual business targets
  • Deliver an effective process to monitor and report on all team issues and make sure these are completed in a timely manner. Review this feedback and devise and implement continuous improvement to drive efficiencies
  • Drive a high level of standard throughout the team ensuring all compliance regulations are meet in the required time and all process are being followed. Manage the team by making sure work has been apportioned correctly with all jobs allocated and instructed to contractors
  • Deal with escalations from tenants and landlords regarding compliance related complaints, to ensure these are resolved in an appropriate manner
  • Evaluate performance across the department and drive improvements across all areas. Prepare reports to be able to clearly demonstrate where and how these improvements can be made
  • Recruitment, staff mentoring and development, ongoing training and performance management

Requirements

  • Preferred ARLA/Letwell Qualification
  • Leadership/people management skills with experience in leading a team
  • IT literate and good technical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify improvements and efficiency
  • Experience of fast paced working environment

  • Work closely with cross-functional risk and product teams to bring Mercury products to market in a way that meets all relevant financial partner and regulatory compliance obligations
  • Ensure all processes and products under your area of responsibility comply with applicable rules and regulations
  • Stay up to date with any changes to applicable regulations, and implement necessary updates to impacted products to maintain compliance
  • Support expansion for new product launches by scoping, defining and communicating product and compliance requirements
  • Work cross-functionally to drive remediation efforts for products within your defined scope
  • Support the compliance function in defining and achieving departmental initiatives, maintaining relevant policies and procedures, developing documentation solutions, and liaising with auditors
  • Contribute to building a strong culture of compliance across Mercury
