Job Description:

Oversees the Citi Compliance Risk Management Program for a medium franchise country including regulated branches, legal entities and other affiliates. Responsible for implementing compliance processes, setting priorities, driving transformation, and providing franchise support to senior management. Collaborates closely with other ICRM teams and stakeholders.

Job Responsibility:

Preparing an annual compliance risk management plan
Preparing quarterly State of Compliance reports
Providing compliance risk management services across the jurisdiction
Reporting local regulatory issues to stakeholders
Supporting senior management relationships
Implementing regulatory change management
Overseeing Anti-Money Laundering compliance risk management
Delivering Independent Compliance Risk Management programs
Ensuring local ICRM training plan reflects local regulations
Leading issue remediation to mitigate compliance risks
Enhancing technology and automation for compliance processes
Managing a high-performance compliance team.

Requirements:

Minimum 15 years of banking experience
5-10 years of relevant Compliance / AML experience
Relevant academic/professional qualification such as International Compliance Association (ICA) Diploma in Governance, Risk and Compliance or ACAMS certification
Experience in Islamic Banking and/or Data Protection Officer / Data Governance Officer
Credibility as a subject matter expert
Experience of working with key country level regulators and industry associations
Knowledge of local regulatory requirements and obligations
Ability to identify emerging compliance issues and themes
Ability to influence senior business leaders on compliance risk-related matters
Strong team leadership, communication, interpersonal and management skills
Effective negotiation skills
Ability to thrive in a complex, highly matrixed, global environment.
