Job Responsibility:
Customer Due Diligence: Provide expert support for Country Business (CIB and/or WPB) and Compliance teams in escalation process, KYC review and oversight where required
Product Governance & Distribution: Input into new product due diligence (NPDD) approvals and pricing reviews, monitoring of quality and MI, and oversight of risk assessments and issue management. Attendance at relevant risk and control fora
Compliance Policy and Regulatory Developments: Provide support in regulatory change business impact analysis and/or implementation, in particular local regulatory changes, annual Policy/Procedure refresh and training requirements (1LoD and 2LoD) or policy deviation
maintaining up-to-date regulatory engagements records
managing country regulatory change efforts, RAPID II inputs, horizon scanning
Support the team head to improve and maintain day to day to running of the compliance CoE team and to ensure the efficient decisioning and execution of tasks, identifying process improvements and best practise
Support the Group’s FC strategy by identifying, informing and advising Senior Management of any developing issues and trends that may impact or be relevant to the management as appropriate of compliance risk
Requirements:
Degree or equivalent professional qualification in law, economics, accountancy or similar field
Working experience as a Compliance Officer
Strong analytical skills and the ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and clearly articulated justifications
Strong collaboration, communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to think laterally and solve problems
Understanding or experience working with corporate banking products and services
Working in a major financial institution, within a matrix environment, including reporting internationally
High level of professional and personal integrity
Proficiency in English language (written/spoken/formal)
Nice to have:
Other European languages are a plus, e.g. French, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Czech, Dutch
Understanding of the purpose, value, culture and fundamentals of the Compliance function
