Job Description:

Our client has an immediate opening for a Paralegal to manage corporate reports, lobbying registration and reporting, charity reporting, and candidate and PAC reports. The position requires strong research and communication skills, outstanding attention to detail, and ability to manage complex reporting and filing deadlines. This position is an in-office position from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional overtime.

Job Responsibility:

  • Communicate with clients to compile information necessary to prepare draft reports
  • Work with supervising attorneys to finalize reports
  • Help to design and implement filing systems for new clients and jurisdictions
  • Assist clients with implementing internal accounting and controls
  • Prepare calendars with reporting schedules
  • Respond to client questions about reporting obligations and filings
  • Leverage analytical skills to complete complex tasks
  • Effectively manage multiple time-sensitive projects
  • Work independently to research, analyze, and synthesize information

Requirements:

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, Excel, FECFile, and federal and state electronic lobbying disclosure filing systems
  • Strong communication, writing and research skills
  • Strong time-management skills and attention to detail
  • Must have at least three years of experience at a law firm in this capacity
