Our client is a global fintech and payment solutions provider with a presence in Kuala Lumpur. They specialize in digital payment processing, providing infrastructure for businesses to accept various forms of payment, including credit cards and digital assets (cryptocurrency).
Job Responsibility:
Lead the development, review, and maintenance of enterprise-wide compliance policies, SOPs, and risk control frameworks—ensuring alignment with BNM, Labuan FSA, and international standards such as FATF recommendations
Conduct regular risk assessments and internal audits across payment and service operations to identify control weaknesses, recommend remedial actions, and verify timely implementation
Monitor regulatory developments—including amendments to AMLA, FSA, and cross-border frameworks—and provide strategic advisory to senior management on operational and policy implications
Prepare and submit regulatory filings and reports to authorities such as BNM and Labuan FSA
serve as the primary liaison for compliance-related engagements with banks, card schemes, and payment partners
Oversee end-to-end incident governance for fraud and compliance breaches—including investigation, reporting, root-cause analysis, and integration of lessons learned into updated risk controls
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field (Law graduates are highly preferred)
Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in compliance, risk, or operations within fintech, payment gateways, or financial institutions — with exposure to transaction monitoring and AML/CFT frameworks
Proven knowledge of Malaysian financial regulations, including the Anti-Money Laundering, (AMLA), Financial Services Act (FSA), and BNM guidelines
