Job Responsibility:

  • REGULATORY COMPLIANCE: Conduct comprehensive research to gather and analyze the regulatory requirements of products based on country-specific legislations
  • Proactively obtain, meticulously review, and effectively disseminate essential documentation for product registration or release
  • Keep the internal team abreast of regulatory changes through regular training and knowledge sharing sessions
  • COMMUNICATION AND TRAINING: Internally, provide detailed and accurate information to Product Development (PD), Sales, and Buyers regarding all facets of regulatory compliance, product testing, and country-specific requirements
  • Collaborate closely with Innovation and Production Development teams
  • Externally, engage with clients and vendors to understand and address their regulatory needs
  • COMPLIANCE TESTING: Take charge of managing and ensuring that all requirements for sensory/applications, as well as third-party testing for product claims, are met
  • REGULATORY GUIDELINES AND STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES (SOPs): Maintain and vigilantly monitor SOPs
  • ARTWORK COMPLIANCE: Offer expert advice on regulatory artwork requirements
  • PROJECT DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT: Attend development meetings from a regulatory perspective
  • REGULATORY MONITORING: Actively participate in seminars, webinars, and engage with external consultants
  • DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT: Systematically save and monitor regulatory documents for each project

Requirements:

  • Above 5 years of experience as quality assurance, new project development in cosmetics or relative industry
  • Experience in cosmetics related manufacturing and trading environment would be a plus
  • Experienced in quality management system, quality tools and methods
  • In-depth knowledge of Canadian and US regulations governing cosmetics, consumer goods, and OTC/Drug products
  • A thorough understanding of labelling requirements in Canada and the US
  • Proven manufacturing experience
  • Experience collaborating with third-party testing labs
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Proactive in asking questions, strategic thinking, effective time management, a strong grasp of quality standards, and leadership potential
