Job Description

The Quality Compliance Lead is responsible for overseeing and enforcing food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance programs within the manufacturing facility. This role ensures that all products meet internal quality standards as well as applicable local, state, and federal regulations, including FDA, USDA, and GFSI requirements. The Lead conducts audits and inspections, manages documentation and corrective actions, and collaborates with production and operations teams to promote a strong food safety culture. The Quality Compliance Lead plays a key role in continuous improvement, risk mitigation, and maintaining customer and regulatory confidence in product quality and safety.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead site compliance and audit readiness for all BUs (Cookies, Crackers, Bakery) and provide overall support to the manufacturing facility
  • Lead plant internal quality and food safety audits
  • Manage/support quality corrective / preventive action programs
  • Manage QA documentation critical to quality systems, compliance
  • Support the Food Safety / Quality program efforts such as SQF certification audits
  • Function as HACCP / Food Safety team member
  • Champions plant traceability systems and mock recall exercises
  • Leads plant food defense team
  • Lead Food Safety continuous improvement efforts
  • Provide quality systems support environmental microbiological monitoring program, laboratory testing activities, calibration program, structured product inspection programs, and allergen validation activities
  • Responsible for plant environmental monitoring program
  • Support sanitation program initiatives
  • Fulfill requests for data and reports
  • Identify opportunities and design plans for expanded use of the plant electronic data collection system
  • Support investigations of in-plant quality incidents and consumer complaints
  • Cross-train in other QA tasks to function as back-up to QA team members

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience within manufacturing

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree or Associate's Degree
  • 5+ years of experience within Food Manufacturing
  • PCQI (Preventive Control Qualified Individual), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) certified, SQF (Safe Quality Foods) certified are strongly preferred
