We’re looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our established team. This role would be ideal for someone currently working as a Compliance Co‑ordinator (or in a similar compliance role) who is ready to take the next step in their career. We’re looking for someone organised, with great attention to detail, and a willingness to work towards the relevant industry qualifications. Reporting to our Head of Compliance & Building Safety, you will provide leadership and technical oversight across asbestos, legionella and LOLER compliance. You will help to develop the team, maintain strong compliance processes, ensure accurate data and reporting, oversee contractor performance, and support a safety‑first culture that reflects evolving regulatory standards across the organisation. In addition, we are looking for candidates who are passionate about advocating on behalf of people and communities and who take pride in delivering high‑quality, customer‑focused services.
Job Responsibility
Lead on asbestos, legionella and lifting‑equipment compliance, acting as MSV’s competent person and ensuring alignment with CAR 2012, ACOP L8/HSG274, LOLER/PUWER and the Building Safety Act’s golden‑thread and safety‑case requirements
Develop and maintain strategies, policies, registers and management plans, keeping technical and regulatory knowledge up to date and embedding changes into contracts and specifications
Commission and quality‑assure risk assessments, surveys, statutory inspections and remedial works, ensuring strong contractor performance, resident safety and value for money
Provide specialist technical advice, lead incident investigations and statutory notifications, maintain accurate compliance data, and deliver clear communication to colleagues, residents and stakeholders
Lead and develop the compliance team, ensuring consistent service delivery, competency and training — while supporting effective budget management and a strong safety‑first culture across MSV
Requirements
Experience working within compliance management in a social housing context, specifically relating to asbestos, legionella and/or LOLER
Demonstrable experience in the management and delivery of compliance data, processes, and reporting
Strong experience in compiling, maintaining and controlling compliance registers and activity logs (asbestos, legionella, LOLER)
Highly organised, detail‑focused, and confident managing multiple streams of compliance activity
A customer‑focused approach to service delivery and stakeholder engagement
