We are looking for a Compliance Engineer - F/M/X to ensure that products meet international standards and regulatory requirements, supporting the entire product lifecycle from design to certification.
Job Responsibility
Contribute to the development of power electronic converters and inverters, including topologies, hardware design, and system architecture
Ensure compliance requirements are embedded early in the product design process
Interpret and apply international standards for electrical equipment and inverters (e.g., IEC, EN, UL)
Translate normative requirements into concrete, testable R&D requirements
Plan and execute certification activities, including implementation, testing, and documentation
Interface with test labs, certification bodies, and internal stakeholders
Manage compliance-related risks, deviations, and corrective actions
Prepare and maintain compliance documentation (technical files, declarations, test reports)
Support risk assessments such as FMEA and hazard analysis
Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on existing and new products
Requirements
You have an academic background in electrical engineering or a related field
You have at least 5 years of experience in electrical, mechanical, systems, or power electronics engineering
You are proficient with regulatory frameworks and standards (e.g., IEC, ISO, UL, CE, RoHS, REACH)
You have proven experience with certification processes and audits
You are fluent in English, German is a plus
You demonstrate a structured, detail-oriented working style
You demonstrate strong communication skills, especially in conveying compliance topics to R&D teams and management
You demonstrate the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and interface with external partners
