Job Description:

This is a key contract position responsible for managing statutory compliance across Asbestos, Gas and Water (Legionella) programmes within a public sector property portfolio. This role will focus on driving compliance performance, managing contractors, overseeing risk assessment programmes, and ensuring all statutory actions are delivered within required timescales.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage, monitor and drive the Asbestos Risk Assessment Programme, ensuring remedial actions are completed within statutory timeframes
  • Lead the Gas Inspection, Testing & Servicing Programme, maintaining 100% compliance across the portfolio
  • Oversee the Legionella Risk Assessment Programme, ensuring all actions and monitoring regimes are completed
  • Support the delivery of additional Tier 2 compliance disciplines as introduced
  • Act as a champion for the Council’s compliance management system, ensuring accurate data upload of certification, legacy records and associated actions
  • Lead contractor performance meetings across compliance disciplines
  • Monitor KPIs, manage performance, record minutes and track actions to completion
  • Ensure all works comply with current legislation, regulations and guidance

Requirements:

  • Strong experience managing statutory compliance in a housing or public sector environment
  • Proven background overseeing Asbestos, Gas and Legionella compliance programmes
  • Experience managing compliance contractors and performance frameworks
  • Strong working knowledge of UK compliance legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Experience using compliance management systems and maintaining accurate certification records
  • Ability to drive performance and ensure programme delivery within strict timeframes
