Job Description:

Compliance and Regulatory Technical/Functional BA. This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2 days per week from an HPE office. Job Responsibility:

  • Liaise with business stakeholders, compliance teams, and regulatory bodies to gather, analyze, and document business requirements related to compliance and regulatory projects
  • interpret and translate regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, DORA, SOX, etc.) into actionable business and technical specifications
  • collaborate with IT teams to design, develop, test, and implement compliance and regulatory solutions
  • conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and risk evaluations for new and changing regulatory requirements
  • prepare comprehensive documentation including business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process flows, and use cases
  • facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate requirements, solutions, and regulatory changes to stakeholders
  • support user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management, and post-implementation reviews to ensure regulatory requirements are met
  • monitor regulatory landscape for new and evolving requirements, support proactive compliance initiatives
  • work with data teams to ensure proper data mapping, lineage, and reporting as per regulatory mandates
  • provide subject matter expertise in compliance and regulatory business processes, controls, and technology solutions
  • mentor and support junior analysts
  • contribute to best practices and knowledge sharing within the team

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of overall experience in business analysis
  • at least 5 years in compliance and regulatory domains
  • proven experience in interpreting and implementing regulatory requirements in financial services or similar regulated environments
  • strong understanding of compliance frameworks, regulations, and industry standards
  • technical proficiency in data analysis, process modeling, and requirements management tools
  • experience working in Agile and Waterfall project delivery methodologies
  • excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • prefer experience with compliance/regulatory technology platforms
  • prefer previous involvement in regulatory reporting, audit support, or regulatory change management projects
