As a Compliance Analyst within the 2nd Line of Defence, you will support the delivery of MPP’s regulatory compliance framework, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations. The role involves managing compliance projects, processes, and controls, while collaborating with key stakeholders to deliver practical, value-added compliance solutions that support both regulatory requirements and business growth.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the Compliance Manager in ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, including FCA rules, UK AML/CFT requirements, and JMLSG guidance
Assisting in the development and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures, and training materials
Conducting periodic compliance reviews and assisting in the execution of the Compliance Monitoring Plan
Engaging in day-to-day compliance advisory activities to support business operations
Reviewing and maintaining the Compliance financial crime framework, including oversight of Transaction Monitoring, Sanctions, PEP, and Adverse Media screening processes
Assisting in the assessment of training and competency requirements for employees and contributing to internal compliance training initiatives
Assisting in responding to inquiries from regulatory authorities, law enforcement, and external stakeholders
Reviewing Management Information ("MI") reports from the Compliance Operations Team and escalating key findings to the Compliance Manager
Requirements:
Prior experience in compliance, financial crime, or a related function within the payments or financial services industry
Proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and compliance risk management
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical compliance processes
Good communication skills with the ability to engage with various stakeholders across the business
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects effectively
A willingness to learn and grow within the compliance function, with an appetite for further professional training and development
Integrity, responsibility, and a commitment to upholding high ethical and compliance standards
Nice to have:
Knowledge of AML and financial crime compliance, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting is an advantage
