Our client is looking for a meticulous and dedicated Compliance Administrator to join their property management team in the Toms River, New Jersey area. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring adherence to federal and state housing regulations, verifying resident eligibility, and maintaining precise documentation to support compliance. This position will involve occasional travel to various properties to assist teams with program requirements.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct interviews with residents to gather necessary documentation and assess their eligibility for affordable housing programs
Compile and finalize eligibility certification files in line with regulatory standards and organizational policies
Obtain third-party verifications of income, assets, and other essential household information
Perform accurate calculations of household income based on regulatory guidelines and compliance handbooks
Ensure all compliance-related records are complete, accurate, and prepared for audits
Collaborate with property teams to facilitate application and recertification processes
Maintain confidentiality and uphold integrity when managing sensitive resident data
Stay updated on changes to housing regulations and compliance protocols
Assist in audit preparations and address any follow-up actions or findings
Execute additional compliance-related tasks as assigned
Requirements:
Proven experience in compliance, property management, or affordable housing programs
Familiarity with HUD guidelines and affordable housing regulations
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace
Knowledge of Tax Credit programs and relevant compliance frameworks
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage sensitive information responsibly
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams
Willingness to travel occasionally to property locations as needed
