Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Paralegal to join our Complex Litigation department in Seattle or Portland to work on our Trial team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to impactful class action lawsuits involving consumer protection, environmental law, financial fraud, and more. The ideal candidate will bring extensive litigation expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to managing complex legal projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Conduct advanced legal research and drafting to support class action and complex litigation cases
  • Manage and oversee e-discovery processes, utilizing Relativity software to organize and review large document productions
  • Perform cite-checking and ensure legal documents adhere to The Bluebook standards
  • Collaborate with attorneys and co-counsel to develop case strategies and manage litigation workflows
  • Coordinate the preparation of trial materials and provide on-site trial support
  • Lead case-based project management efforts, balancing resource allocation and competing deadlines
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, co-counsel, and internal teams to ensure seamless case progression
  • Respond promptly to urgent situations and deadlines, ensuring high-quality deliverables
  • Facilitate the review and integration of multi-resource projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
  • Uphold high standards of internal customer service while navigating challenging scenarios with professionalism

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, with a focus on complex cases
  • Proficiency in legal research tools such as Westlaw and Lexis+, and expertise in cite-checking using The Bluebook
  • Knowledge of Relativity e-discovery software and document production processes
