As a member of a defined cluster organization, the multi-property systems manager contributes advanced knowledge and skill in technology and general hospitality business knowledge to support cluster and technology (IR) objectives. The multi-property systems manager, in conjunction with the area systems manager, is responsible for assisting property management with technology planning, decision-making, implementation, and maintenance. The multi-property systems manager may direct the work of property or area systems technicians and interfaces with vendors, owners, executive committee and property staff.
Job Responsibility:
Managing technology/asset life-cycle
ordering necessary equipment
Foreseeing, identifying and resolving system(s)’ performance problems
Disaster recovery and business continuity as it relates to technology
Ensuring technology assets are secure and well-maintained
Installing, monitoring, and maintaining telecommunications equipment
Performing adds/moves/changes/deletions
Ensuring adequate bandwidth and secured circuits
Supporting end-use pager cellular phone issues
Troubleshooting high-speed Internet access problems
Escalating problems as appropriate
Imaging desktops, installing new software applications, applying patches, mapping drives
Moving/adds/changing PCs/peripherals
Performing routine to complex desktop backup
Providing end-user support
Resolving issues with setup or reset of security passwords
Supporting email and use of MI network
Creating and maintaining secure server environment
Performing server backups and routine/non-routine preventative maintenance
Executing disaster recovery plans
Assisting/providing input to property management for CAPEX and department operating budgets
Possessing basic understanding of financial dynamics property operations
Reviewing operating statements
Advising management on required short-term technology investments
Responsible for property compliance with Marriott International Policy and Information Security Manual
Conducting periodic inventories of applications and hardware
Assisting in reviews of vendor proposals
Ensuring compliance to technology-related vendor contracts
