Job Description:

We are looking for experienced Support workers to support our client, a 25-year-old male who has cerebral palsy, severe epilepsy and learning disabilities living in a village between King’s Lynn and Wisbech. He requires 24-hour support and 2-1 care day and night. Our client is a very sociable young man who loves people and having fun despite his health challenges and limited communication. He loves music and to be out and about with his team in the community, holidays and attending festivals.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support a 25-year-old male with cerebral palsy, severe epilepsy and learning disabilities
  • Provide 24-hour support and 2-1 care day and night
  • Support client with community outings, holidays, and attending festivals
  • Work varied shifts including nights, sleep ins, evenings (4-8.30pm), and full days (8-8) on weekends

Requirements:

  • Experience as a support worker
  • Full driving licence
  • Flexible for the needs of the client
  • Willingness to undertake Care Certificate training if no NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure with Adult and Child Workforce Barring

Nice to have:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Fun, organised, and reliable with a positive mindset and a great sense of humour
