Job Description

Service Manager – Great Holland. At CFT Care Ltd, we provide high-quality specialist care and support for adults with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and behaviours that may challenge. Many of the individuals we support require structured support, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), and personalised care approaches. Our aim is to empower people to live meaningful and independent lives, maintain their wellbeing, and stay connected to their communities. We are committed to delivering person-centred support that promotes dignity, independence, and positive outcomes. The Great Holland service is a supported living service providing high-level, person-centred support to individuals with complex needs within their own homes. Individuals may require structured routines, proactive behavioural strategies, and consistent staff approaches to enable them to live safely and independently in the community.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and operational management of the service
  • Ensure support is delivered in line with CQC standards and organisational policies
  • Promote a safe, positive, and person-centred environment
  • Lead, support, and supervise support workers
  • Hold regular supervisions and team meetings
  • Ensure staff follow care plans, PBS strategies, and risk management plans
  • Oversee the development and review of person-centred care plans
  • Complete and review risk assessments
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and DoLS
  • Ensure the service meets CQC regulatory requirements
  • Conduct service audits, medication checks, and quality reviews
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records
  • Attend care reviews and multidisciplinary meetings
  • Build positive relationships with families, commissioners, and professionals
  • Support training and development of staff
  • Promote best practice in PBS and trauma-informed support
  • Support recruitment and ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Work with senior management on rota management and service delivery
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams
  • Participate in the on-call rota

Requirements

  • Experience in a Service Manager, Deputy Manager, or Team Leader role within social care
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and behaviours that challenge
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and compliance requirements
  • Experience with risk assessments, care planning, and audits
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between services

Nice to have

  • Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS)
  • Knowledge of NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention)
  • Experience within supported living or complex needs services
  • Experience supporting individuals with autism and learning disabilities

  • Build strong relationships with service users, families, healthcare professionals, and local authorities
  • Oversee assessments, referrals, and care planning, ensuring support packages meet complex needs effectively
  • Maintain strong visibility within the service and participate in the on-call rota
  • Ensure full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation
  • Maintain accurate care documentation, audits, and service reporting
