Job Description:

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Healthcare Assistant to provide overnight care for a 14-year-old child with diabetes in their home in Margate. This role involves monitoring and managing the child’s condition throughout the night, ensuring their safety and well-being. This is a home-based role, working closely with the child’s family and healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, person-centered care.

Job Responsibility:

Monitor and manage the child’s diabetes, responding to any fluctuations
Administer medications and insulin as per care plan
Provide overnight personal care and reassurance
Monitor vital signs and respond to any concerns
Ensure the child is safe, comfortable, and settled throughout the night
Maintain clear and accurate care records

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK
At least 6 months of personal care experience (home care, hospital, or care home)
Experience managing diabetes in a care setting
DBS on update service or willingness to obtain one
Basic Life Support and Moving/Handling training
Two professional references
