Job Description:

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are: Zone A: $178,200 - $237,600; Zone B: $160,400 - $213,800; Zone C: $147,900 - $197,200. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of compensation platforms, ensuring they are running efficiently and effectively
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to compensation systems in a timely manner
  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of compensation data across all platforms
  • Develop and implement data management processes and best practices to maintain high data quality
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors, managing relationships and contracts related to compensation tools and systems
  • Coordinate with vendors to ensure seamless integration and functionality of external platforms with internal systems
  • Work closely with internal data engineering teams to align on data architecture, integration, and any system enhancements required for compensation platforms
  • Collaborate with HR, finance, and other relevant teams to gather requirements and ensure compensation systems meet organizational needs
  • Lead or support the implementation of new compensation tools and systems, including requirement gathering, testing, and deployment
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance compensation processes through automation and improved system capabilities
  • Recommend and implement improvements to current systems and tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to provide insights into compensation data and trends
  • Analyze compensation data to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to compensation data management
  • Work with IT and security teams to ensure data protection and system security measures are in place and effective
  • Create and maintain documentation for compensation systems, processes, and procedures
  • Provide training and support to users of the compensation platforms to ensure effective utilization
  • Manage projects related to compensation systems, including timelines, resources, and deliverables
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while meeting the defined objectives and requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Proven experience (typically 6-8 years) in managing compensation platforms, data, tools, and systems
  • Strong proficiency in data management and analysis, including experience with SQL, Excel, or other data analysis tools
  • Familiarity with HRIS and compensation management systems (e.g., Workday, Pave)
  • Experience with data integration and working with APIs is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights
  • Experience managing projects, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Experience in process optimization and automation to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices related to compensation data management
  • Experience in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and organizational policies
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
