Job Responsibility

  • Administer day-to-day employee benefit programs across health, retirement, life, disability, and related offerings through Workday and partner systems
  • Examine benefits invoices for accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate with finance and accounts payable to ensure timely processing and proper allocation
  • Support annual enrollment activities by preparing materials, updating elections, and helping organize employee information sessions
  • Partner with third-party administrators and insurance carriers to address enrollment issues, billing concerns, and participant questions
  • Maintain organized and accurate benefits records while protecting sensitive employee information in line with privacy standards
  • Track eligibility for part-time and variable-hour employees to help ensure benefit offers are issued within required timeframes
  • Respond to employee inquiries by explaining benefit options, coverage details, and administrative processes in a clear and thorough manner
  • Contribute to special assignments and related benefits projects as business needs arise

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in benefits administration or a similar human resources role
  • Practical experience using Workday for benefits-related processes and employee records management
  • Working knowledge of applicable federal and state benefits regulations, including leave and healthcare compliance requirements
  • Strong ability to collaborate with benefit vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with benefits platforms and reporting tools
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex benefits information to employees
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
