We are looking for a skilled Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Seattle, Washington. This position focuses on managing leave administration and employee benefits while ensuring compliance with Washington State regulations. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational skills and a strong ability to navigate fast-paced environments with attention to detail.
Job Responsibility:
Administer employee leave programs, including compliance with Washington State leave policies
Manage workers’ compensation claims and ensure regulatory adherence
Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as VLOOKUPs, subtotals, and pivot tables, to analyze and manage benefits data
Coordinate and oversee various employee benefit programs, ensuring smooth operations and accuracy
Provide exceptional customer service to employees, addressing inquiries and concerns related to compensation and benefits
Monitor and manage level funding processes to support organizational needs
Collaborate with teams to ensure technological solutions align with benefits administration requirements
Maintain detailed records and meet strict deadlines for reporting and compliance
Apply knowledge of OSHA guidelines and best practices in benefits management
Offer support in Spanish, if applicable, to enhance communication and accessibility for employees
Requirements:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in leave administration, including expertise in Washington State leave policies
Proficiency in workers’ compensation processes and regulations
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, subtotals, and pivot tables
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy
Strong customer service skills with a focus on employee satisfaction
Technological proficiency to manage benefits-related systems effectively
Knowledge of level funding processes and benefits analysis
Nice to have:
Spanish language proficiency is highly desirable but not mandatory
