We are looking for an experienced Compensation & Benefits Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Glendale, California, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and management of competitive compensation and benefits strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, salary benchmarking, and regulatory compliance, along with excellent communication skills.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct thorough market research to gather and analyze compensation data, providing insights to guide salary decisions
Evaluate internal pay structures to ensure equity and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Manage and update compensation databases, preparing detailed reports on pay trends and structures
Support annual compensation planning cycles, including job evaluations and salary reviews
Assist in the administration of salary, bonus, and incentive programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Collaborate with HR and business leaders to develop strategies that attract and retain top talent
Provide expert guidance to managers on compensation-related matters, including policy interpretation and pay adjustments
Analyze benefits programs and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure effective implementation
Monitor compliance with leave policies, such as FMLA, and provide support in related benefit functions
Identify areas for improvement within compensation and benefits programs and recommend actionable solutions
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in compensation and benefits analysis or a related field
Proficiency in data analysis tools and advanced Excel skills, including functions and data modeling
Strong understanding of compensation structures, benchmarking, and pay equity principles
Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations related to compensation and benefits
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders
Experience managing benefits programs and coordinating compliance with leave policies such as FMLA
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
