Job Description

We are looking for a Compensation & Benefits Specialist to support benefits administration and compliance activities in Greenville, South Carolina. This position is ideal for a detail-focused specialist who can maintain accurate records, coordinate benefit-related processes, and help ensure alignment between benefits data and payroll activity. The role plays a key part in delivering reliable program administration while supporting regulatory compliance and a high standard of operational accuracy.

Job Responsibility

  • Administer day-to-day benefits operations, including 401k adjustments, status changes, terminations, and related record updates
  • Review benefits data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies to maintain dependable employee and payroll information
  • Coordinate with payroll to ensure deductions, contributions, and benefit elections are processed correctly and on schedule
  • Support compliance efforts by maintaining documentation and helping ensure benefit practices meet applicable federal and state requirements
  • Assist with administration of retirement programs such as 401(k) plans, including data review and coordination with external providers
  • Prepare reports, audits, and reconciliations related to benefits activity, eligibility, and plan participation
  • Respond to employee and internal stakeholder questions regarding benefit processes, coverage changes, and program administration
  • Help improve operational workflows and support benefits-related system updates or process changes when needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in benefits administration, compensation and benefits support, and knowledge of 401k Administration
  • Working knowledge of employee benefits operations, including enrollments, deductions, and eligibility management
  • Experience coordinating benefits information with payroll processes and identifying data inconsistencies
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements affecting benefit programs at the federal and state level
  • Hands-on experience supporting retirement plan administration, including 401(k) programs
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage confidential information responsibly and communicate clearly with employees and internal teams
