Job Description:

To take ownership of the end-to-end finance function for two entities, transitioning from a largely outsourced accounting model to a robust, high-quality internal finance capability that supports growth and commercial insight.

Job Responsibility:

  • Report directly to the leadership team
  • Own internal accounting processes end-to-end for two entities
  • Produce and present monthly management accounts with commercial insight
  • Lead month-end close, including P&L review
  • Forecasting, budgeting, and ongoing budget performance review
  • VAT preparation and submission
  • Intercompany accounting
  • Work-in-progress management
  • Review business performance and identify variances
  • Streamline and integrate finance processes from invoicing through to month end
  • Liaise with external accountants and manage year-end close
  • Ensure statutory compliance, Companies House filings, and regulatory requirements
  • Operate across Xero, project management systems, and Excel

Requirements:

  • Strong SME accounting background with experience supporting growing businesses
  • Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Ideally ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified
  • Proven experience at a similar level
  • Confident communicator, able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
  • Advanced systems and data capability

Nice to have:

Telecoms or built-environment experience
