To take ownership of the end-to-end finance function for two entities, transitioning from a largely outsourced accounting model to a robust, high-quality internal finance capability that supports growth and commercial insight.
Job Responsibility:
Report directly to the leadership team
Own internal accounting processes end-to-end for two entities
Produce and present monthly management accounts with commercial insight
Lead month-end close, including P&L review
Forecasting, budgeting, and ongoing budget performance review
VAT preparation and submission
Intercompany accounting
Work-in-progress management
Review business performance and identify variances
Streamline and integrate finance processes from invoicing through to month end
Liaise with external accountants and manage year-end close
Ensure statutory compliance, Companies House filings, and regulatory requirements
Operate across Xero, project management systems, and Excel
Requirements:
Strong SME accounting background with experience supporting growing businesses
Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
Ideally ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified
Proven experience at a similar level
Confident communicator, able to work effectively with non-finance stakeholders
Advanced systems and data capability
Nice to have:
Telecoms or built-environment experience
