Job Description:

Rotorua Lakes Council is seeking a proactive and community-focused individual to join our team as a Community Support Officer on a 12-month basis, helping deliver a safe, welcoming, and vibrant inner city experience for our residents and visitors. In this role, you’ll support the Inner City Manager, and to a lesser extent, the Team Leader Community Compliance, in providing a customer-responsive approach to a range of inner city services. This includes contributing to Safe City Guardian operations, CCTV monitoring, and Parking Services, ensuring our city centre remains safe, accessible, and enjoyable for everyone. You’ll be a key point of contact on the ground, engaging with the public, responding to issues, and supporting the effective day-to-day delivery of services across the inner city. Your ability to build positive relationships, remain calm under pressure, and provide practical solutions will be essential.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the Inner City Manager and Team Leader Community Compliance
  • Contribute to Safe City Guardian operations, CCTV monitoring, and Parking Services
  • Engage with the public, respond to issues, and support effective day-to-day delivery of services across the inner city
