The Middlesbrough Treatment team are looking for a Mental Health Nurse to join the team to aid our journey to change and improve the local community's experience with mental health services, adopting a 'no wrong door approach'. We encourage discussions and we happy for potential staff to come along to visit, our bases and discuss opportunities and get to know the MDT. Within this role we will support you to expand on your knowledge and expertise with opportunity to develop special interests such as substance misuse and psychological interventions. You will be a valued member of the teamand will develop excellent working relationships with our partners and stakeholders. This innovative approach will provide opportunities for growth in your practice and professional development. You can expect regular supervision and support from a very cohesive and supportive leadership team. The service currently operates Monday-Friday 9-5pm, flexibility and part-time or job share can be considered.
Job Responsibility:
Provide a service to those individuals who present with mental health issues, with an emphasis on psychologically informed brief interventions
Work collaboratively with service users of varying ages and differing needs as well as their carers and families
Deliver clinical interventions specific to care pathways
Manage complex cases in partnership with other agencies providing care coordination in line with CPA
Develop skills in psychological therapies, psychosocial interventions and care management
Encourage ongoing engagement from all staff utilising effective leadership skills
Use own initiative and make decisions independently
Commit to the development of high quality care, and to engage in quality improvement activities
Requirements:
Current professional registration with Nursing & Midwifery Council RNMH or RNLD (RNSC - CAMHS only ) - RGN (If appropriate)
To be recognised practice assessor / mentor or work towards in an agreed timescale
