Job Description:

Join our newly created community project planning team. This team will specialise in the "planning" phase of community projects – including scoping, initial design work, accurate budgeting, detailed plans with milestones, communications and risk management plans. The execution of these plans are then delivered by our project delivery team. This role will work collaboratively with our existing community leadership, project delivery, communications and community facilities teams.

Job Responsibility:

  • define the scope, objectives, and expected deliverables of community projects in line with community needs and goals
  • develop detailed project plans outlining milestones, timelines, and resource requirements, ensuring compliance with Council policies and relevant legislation
  • ensure strong engagement with all stakeholders during the planning phase of projects

Requirements:

  • qualification in project management and/or project methodology (i.e. 6Sigma, LEAN) preferred
  • experience in project scoping and planning for both small and large-scale projects
  • excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • skills in sourcing and analyzing information, adapting to new technologies, and quickly assimilating technical information into audience-appropriate language
