Job Description:

This is a highly specialist community paediatric role, managing an independent and varied caseload of children with complex needs. The post holder will be responsible for delivering advanced assessments, diagnosis, treatment, and advice using strong clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice. The role also has a strong leadership element, including contributing to service development, improving patient pathways, and supporting service improvements. You will supervise and support junior staff, assistants, and students, as well as contribute to training and in-service development. Working closely with MDTs, families, and carers, you will help coordinate care and support discharge planning, while providing specialist advice and education. The role also involves maintaining high standards of documentation, safeguarding, infection control, and safe use of equipment, alongside ongoing CPD and potential involvement in research.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Significant experience in paediatric physiotherapy
  • Experience managing complex paediatric caseloads
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively
  • Experience supervising or supporting junior staff
  • Strong MDT working and communication skills
