An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and enthusiastic Community Nurse to work within the North Cumbria Adult Eating Disorder Service (NCAEDS). The successful candidate will be joining a dynamic Multi-Disciplinary Team at an exciting time of positive change.
Job Responsibility:
Clinically effective assessment, care management skills and interventions in accordance with the Care Programme Approach and Care Act framework
Engagement with clients in the development of person centred, eating disorder recovery focused care plans
Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting
Delivery of a high-quality, innovative, recovery focused and person centred care
Responsible for own caseload, providing ongoing assessment, care co-ordination as a Key Worker and delivering evidence based intervention in the community
Requirements:
First Level Registration RMN/RNMH/RNLD Qualification
Complete preceptorship programme for newly qualified nurses
Continued professional development
Experience of working with service users and carers in successful delivery of treatment plans
Multi-disciplinary team work
1 year post registration community experience
Mental Health Legislation knowledge
Knowledge of relevant contemporary professional theories of mental health care and evidence based interventions
Understanding of the statutory issues which impact on service users
Time Management skills and ability to prioritise work load
Comprehensive continuous assessment of skills
Risk Assessment skills
Risk Management and Safety Planning skills
Adaptability, flexibility, good communication skills and a commitment to multi-agency team work
Must be able to meet the mobility requirements of the post
Applicants must have current UK professional registration
Nice to have:
Experience of working with Eating Disorders
Phlebotomy and Physical Health Skills
