Job Description:

Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant in Consumer Lending as part of Home Lending, originating mortgage loans within assigned bank branches and providing high quality customer service

Job Responsibility:

Sit within assigned bank branches and originate mortgage loans
Collaborate with branch leadership
Participate in branch huddles
Mentor and coach employees on mortgage products
Conduct outbound calls to customers regarding mortgage products
Interact with customers to understand their needs
Analyze and offer mortgage loan products based on client needs
Process loan applications for mortgage transactions
Maintain high standard of client satisfaction
Pursue Wells Fargo training offerings
Adhere to policies, underwriting requirements, and compliance requirements
Collaborate with fulfillment partners
Stay informed of mortgage industry trends

Requirements:

2+ years of sales experience
SAFE registration required
Compliance with S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act
Meet Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
Acceptable background investigation results
Reliable transportation
Willingness to travel
Ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed

Nice to have:

2+ years of mortgage retail sales experience
Expertise of general lending products
Mortgage industry experience
Retail residential mortgage experience
Established relationships with diverse realtor organizations
Affordable lending nonprofits experience
Community loan products experience
FHA/VA & conventional loan experience
Sales prospecting and generating referrals experience
Educating clients on mortgage purchase programs
Developing and cultivating professional relationships
Customer service experience
Basic Microsoft Office skills
Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish/English
