Job Description:

Community Mortgage Bank Sales Consultant (SAFE) in Consumer Lending as part of Home Lending. Sit within assigned bank branches and originate mortgage loans, collaborate with branch leadership, and provide high quality customer service.

Job Responsibility:

  • Sit within assigned bank branches and originate mortgage loans
  • Collaborate with branch leadership, participate in branch huddles, mentor and coach employees
  • Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers regarding mortgage loan products
  • Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide high quality customer service
  • Process loan applications for mortgage transactions and review rates and terms
  • Maintain high standard of client satisfaction and quality
  • Continuously pursue Wells Fargo training offerings
  • Adhere to policies, underwriting requirements, compliance requirements, and loan procedures
  • Stay informed of mortgage industry trends and developments

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of sales experience
  • Bilingual speaking and reading proficiency in Spanish/English
  • SAFE registration required
  • Must take and pass required Spanish language assessment
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, or holidays as needed or scheduled
  • Compliance with Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements
  • Acceptable background investigation results

Nice to have:

  • 2+ years of mortgage retail sales experience
  • Expertise of general lending products and overall mortgage industry experience
  • Experience with retail residential mortgage, purchase fundings
  • Established relationships with diverse realtor organizations and affordable lending nonprofits
  • Experience with community loan products
  • FHA/VA & conventional loan experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of sales prospecting and generating referrals
  • Experience with educating clients on various mortgage purchase programs
  • Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships
  • Customer service experience
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to provide leadership by coaching, training, and mentoring
