Job Responsibility:
Provide hands-on operational management to the local Remote Australia Employment Service (RAES), facilitating culturally appropriate opportunities for participants to build skills and gain employment
Provide strategic leadership to local participants and management to the RAES team
Develop and support social enterprise projects that create sustainable economic opportunities
Regularly consult with community members to understand their needs and adapt programs based on feedback
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of performance measures and program data
Maintain open and transparent communication channels to support a positive and inclusive workplace culture
Collaborate with employers, training providers, and stakeholders to enhance program reach
Proactively identify and manage risks and hazards to ensure a safe working environment
Monitor the financial and social impact of community projects to maximise efficiency
Requirements:
Significant previous experience as an Employment Consultant, Activity Coordinator, or Site Manager within the RAES Program or equivalent system
Highly effective interpersonal skills with the ability to adapt communication for diverse education levels and language abilities
A strong background in the delivery of community services, preferably within remote Indigenous Communities
Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and motivate a diverse team
High-level competence in Microsoft Office Suite and internal business systems
An undergraduate degree in health, human, social, or community services (or progress towards one)
The ability to collect and analyse data to drive continuous program improvements
Strong organisational skills, including time management and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders
Ability to travel to ALPA communities via vehicle (including unsealed roads) and small light aircraft
Ability to meet aviation safety weight requirements (under 140kg) for light aircraft travel
Compliance with standard office requirements, including manual dexterity and the ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
An undergraduate degree in health, human, social, or community services (or progress towards one)
Significant previous experience as an Employment Consultant, Activity Coordinator, or Site Manager
