Job Description

Summit County Public Health is seeking a dedicated and community focused Registered Nurse to join our team. This position plays a vital role in protecting and promoting the health of Summit County residents through disease prevention, health education, clinical services, harm reduction, community partnerships and public health emergency preparedness. This position works collaboratively with individuals, families, healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and local agencies to deliver public health programs and services that advance health equity and improve quality of life throughout Summit County.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • minimum two (2) years in community health, public health, clinical nursing, case management, or a related nursing field preferred
  • current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado
  • current BLS and CPR certifications throughout employment
  • reliable transportation and vehicle insurance
  • valid Colorado Driver's License
  • ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 30 lbs.
  • familiar with MS Office and able to apply knowledge of computers to work within secure databases
  • Bilingual, English/Spanish helpful

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN (preferred) or an ADN (with successful completion of a DPI approved Public & Community Health course within 90 days of hire) in order to meet the recommended entry level for a professional nurse
