Working collaboratively with the Communications and Marketing team and other stakeholders, The Community and Employee Engagement Coordinator will organize and lead external activities and programs in support of the health system's strategic priorities. This person plans, develops, collaborates, and executes events including, but not limited to, community events, focus groups, expos, seminars, summits, field marketing events, projects, presentations, meetings, etc.
Job Responsibility
Coordinate with venue and partner contacts, working with the Events Council to staff events, gathering materials for all event booths and spaces, collateral and give away needs to maintain and grow awareness of Beebe as the healthcare provide including, banners, signage, refreshments, tables, chairs, collateral, promotional items, as appropriate for the type of event
Lead the Event Council, a system-wide external events collaborative made up of a cross-functional group of clinical and non-clinical team members. Through this group, the coordinator is responsible for sharing the event strategy and encouraging support and participation
Develop and actively operate a Speaker's Bureau for the community to engage with and learn from our large group of clinical experts
Coordinate sponsorship events as appropriate
Support the Director and VP, Communications in implementing focus groups, surveys, etc. related to public perception, awareness, and preference
Maintaining a working knowledge of system-wide services and programs to provide effective event planning and communications to stakeholders
Researching and identifying new event/speaking/presentation opportunities that are in alignment with the health system's strategic priorities
Participate in the annual Community Relations planning and budget development process
Prepare regular event reports
Collaborating with other departments to maximize event outreach
Write content as assigned to support communications engagement and event efforts
Support stakeholders, when needed, in the creation/proofing of presentation materials
Requirements
Three- five years of experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
Demonstrated experience using analytics to derive actionable insights, to evaluate and modify event and outreach plans
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment where shifting priorities are commonplace
Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively collaborate with a wide variety of people within and external to the health system
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Detail-orientation, follow- through, and advanced organizational skills
