This role involves supporting clients who have completed treatment and need help to further develop their recovery capital. You will act as a bridge between structured treatment and aftercare, ensuring clients receive compassionate and collaborative services.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct individual assessments and develop personalised recovery plans
Provide crisis intervention and assist clients in accessing necessary services such as mental health support, housing assistance, and employment resources
Facilitate participation in mutual aid groups and provide information on addiction and relapse prevention
Monitor progress, advocate for clients, involve family members, and support volunteer activities
Report all safeguarding concerns and support the delivery of recovery coaching and peer mentoring programmes
Coordinate recreational activities and community events
Requirements:
Experience in substance misuse support and needs assessments
Lived experience of addiction & recovery is highly valued
Strong understanding of safeguarding and recovery capital
NVQ Level 3 or above (or willingness to work towards it)
Excellent communication, IT, and listening skills
Warm, approachable, and a true team player
Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries
Commitment to confidentiality, equality, and safeguarding
