Job Description:

This role involves supporting clients who have completed treatment and need help to further develop their recovery capital. You will act as a bridge between structured treatment and aftercare, ensuring clients receive compassionate and collaborative services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct individual assessments and develop personalised recovery plans
  • Provide crisis intervention and assist clients in accessing necessary services such as mental health support, housing assistance, and employment resources
  • Facilitate participation in mutual aid groups and provide information on addiction and relapse prevention
  • Monitor progress, advocate for clients, involve family members, and support volunteer activities
  • Report all safeguarding concerns and support the delivery of recovery coaching and peer mentoring programmes
  • Coordinate recreational activities and community events

Requirements:

  • Experience in substance misuse support and needs assessments
  • Lived experience of addiction & recovery is highly valued
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and recovery capital
  • NVQ Level 3 or above (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Excellent communication, IT, and listening skills
  • Warm, approachable, and a true team player
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries
  • Commitment to confidentiality, equality, and safeguarding
