Job Description

A law firm in Fairfax, VA is seeking a dedicated Community Associations Associate to join their team. In this role, you will collaborate with clients and colleagues to provide exceptional legal services within the community association sector. This position offers a supportive work environment and an excellent starting salary based on your experience.

Job Responsibility

  • Represent community associations in legal matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Draft and review legal motions, contracts, and other essential documentation
  • Conduct legal research and provide guidance to clients on complex issues
  • Manage discovery processes, including document review and preparation
  • Collaborate with team members to strategize and develop case plans
  • Advocate for clients in civil litigation proceedings
  • Maintain effective communication with clients to address their legal concerns
  • Stay informed on changes in community association laws and provide updates to clients
  • Ensure timely completion of legal tasks and meet deadlines
  • Foster positive relationships with clients and team members to support organizational goals

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid license to practice law in Virginia
  • Demonstrated ability to handle civil litigation cases effectively
  • Strong skills in drafting motions, legal briefs, and other formal documents
  • Familiarity with discovery processes and document management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
  • Strong academic credentials and a commitment to continuous growth

Previous community association legal experience is preferred but not required
