We are currently seeking a Communications Specialist to join our team in Arlington, Virginia (US-VA), United States (US). NTT DATA is seeking a skilled Communications Specialist to manage strategic communication within our Business Relationship Management team. Using strong written and verbal communication skills, the Communications Specialist ensures clear and effective dissemination of information to enhance stakeholder awareness, collaboration, and service transparency. The Communications Specialist supports the IT Customer Excellence Liaison (ICEL) program by enabling effective, consistent, and customer-focused communication across IT and Business stakeholders.
Job Responsibility
Develop and execute communication strategies to promote IT services and capabilities
Craft clear, concise, and engaging messaging aligned with organizational goals and values
Utilize diverse communication channels (email, newsletters, intranet, and more) to reach stakeholders effectively
Collaborate with IT teams and business units to ensure accurate and timely dissemination of information
Provide mission awareness data and reporting to enhance stakeholder engagement and transparency
Identify gaps in communication processes and recommend improvements to templates, workflows, and messaging standards
Partner with government-appointed ICELs to track IT department requests and ensure timely follow‑up and resolution
Support communication flow between ICELs, IT teams, and leadership to maintain alignment and visibility into ongoing issues
Monitor and document escalations, ensuring they are routed appropriately and communicated clearly to stakeholders
Maintain organized records and status updates to help ICELs manage priorities and drive customer excellence across supported organizations
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience supporting the Communications role/responsibilities described above
Ability to obtain/maintain a Public Trust clearance

Communication Expertise - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft strategic messaging
Attention to Detail - Ensures accuracy, clarity, and consistency in all communications and tracking activities
Collaboration - Skilled at working with cross-functional teams, government stakeholders, and technical teams
Organizational Skills - Ability to manage multiple concurrent requests, deadlines, and communication flows
Experience supporting liaison or customer advocacy programs is a plus
Knowledge of ITIL principles and IT service management processes
Familiarity with performance metrics, customer satisfaction monitoring, and stakeholder engagement strategies
