Job Description:

We are seeking a Communications Specialist for a 1-2 month contract to support our communications and marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a strong writer with AP-style expertise who can execute communications requests efficiently and accurately. This role is execution-focused, with minimal strategy work required. This is a hybrid role based in Dallas, TX, requiring 30-40 hours per week for 1-2 months.

Job Responsibility:

Write and edit press releases, media advisories, newsletters, flyers, and email pitches
Execute communications requests quickly while adhering to AP style guidelines
Attend meetings, take action items, and follow through on deliverables
Assist with media pitching

Requirements:

Proven experience in communications, public relations, or a related field
Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Familiarity with project management tools (preferred)

Nice to have:

Familiarity with project management tools
Media relations and pitching experience
