The Communications and Social Management Officer (LICA 8) will serve as the focal point for communications and social management for the projects in Sint Maarten. The purpose is to ensure the smooth implementation of the communication strategy with both internal and external audiences, as well as effective social management through ongoing interaction with communities that could potentially be affected by the construction process and the start-up of the project, and with the communities that are direct beneficiaries of the project and might become active players in a participative process.

Build project narrative aligned with national context and UNOPS policies
Identify key audiences and develop stakeholder map

Identify and manage communication suppliers
Review and edit project monthly reports
Develop content for UNOPS website, social media, newsletters
Participate in UNOPS Regional Communication Network
Support training for staff on Communication Strategy
Organize repository of communication material

Organize community meetings and consultations
Coordinate with institutional stakeholders

Requirements:
Min 3 years work experience
English language proficiency
Experience in developing communication strategies
