The AMWU QLD/NT Branch is looking for an experienced videographer to support the work of our organising team. This is the role for you if you are looking for a challenging and dynamic role where you will get to use your creativity and initiative on a broad range of projects that make real impacts on the lives of workers.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with Officials, Officers, members and Delegates to develop compelling and strategic digital content
Digital and written works including data analysis
Coordinate and oversee compliance and governance of location and talent release / approvals documentation
Manage the systematic cataloguing and organisation of digital assets
Develop original, strategic proposals for digital campaigns
Oversee the management and maintenance of camera, lighting and sound equipment

Video Editing
Directing on-camera
Graphics and Effects
Achieve a minimum of 38 new members per quarter
Conduct at least 60 workplace visits per quarter
Maintain a delegate-to-member ratio of 1:10
Successfully negotiate workgroups and facilitate the election of Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs)
Ensure Delegates and HSRs receive appropriate training
Advance mentoring plans to strengthen Delegate capability
Maintain a financial membership base exceeding 90%
Contribute to collective team targets and actively support Organisers
Requirements:
Relevant experience in communications, specialising in videography
Demonstrated technical proficiency in camera operation, lighting setups, audio capture and video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve
Proven creative vision and capacity to translate concepts and ideas into compelling visual stories
Attention to detail
Demonstrated organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse groups
Demonstrated ability to collaborate within teams while maintaining strong independent work capabilities
High self-driven, motivated and enthusiastic with proactive approach to achieving objectives
Strong proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Suite and Adobe Suite and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies
Demonstrated capability to implement strategies aligned with AMWU values and objectives
Nice to have:
Bachelor of Creative Arts (Film, Television & Radio) highly desired
