Kansas State University Salina seeks a 9-month term Communications Instructor beginning Fall 2026. The Department of Integrated Studies seeks an individual passionate about teaching introductory speech courses to undergraduate students. K-State Salina recognizes that quality communication is a foundational life skill. The individual selected for this role will have the opportunity to mentor the communication growth of students both inside and outside of the classroom. Job Responsibility:
Teach introductory speech courses to undergraduate students
Mentor the communication growth of students both inside and outside of the classroom
Use of and experimentation with high impact practices
Engage in campus community and be present on-site
Teach in-person classes
Requirements:
Master’s in communications studies or related discipline upon start of position or before August 2026
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
Nice to have:
Teaching experience in communications studies
experience as a graduate teaching assistant satisfies this requirement
