Boeing Australia is currently seeking to recruit a Communications & Brand Specialist to work as part of a global, dynamic, fast-paced Communications team. The role will report to the Boeing Australia Communications Senior Manager, with alignment to relevant specialty communications leaders in the US.
Job Responsibility:
Plan and execute communications that highlight our high-tech Engineering workforce across Boeing Australia
Support enterprise-wide Engineering Communications activities and local initiatives
Tell our Engineering story internally and externally
Focus areas include: Engineering people profiles, technology developments that support customer requirements
R&D conducted by Boeing Technology Innovation – Australia and Phantom Works – Australia
Program communications support, where you’ll need to understand milestones and execute plans to promote/protect those programs
Working across subsidiaries with Boeing engineering focals, business leaders, and external partners to tell a cohesive and integrated story
Contributing content towards our 2027 Centenary celebrations
Plan and produce communications content including, but not limited to, internal stories and messages, external web stories, social media posts, news releases, and videos that highlight our people, products and engineering capabilities
Pitching reporters about our local Engineering workforce should lead to neutral-to-positive articles in local/national/trade outlets
Support after hours meetings and calls as required
Requirements:
More than five years’ experience in corporate communications within a large complex organisation, with demonstrated experience in employee communications and media relations
Excellent writing and media skills across a range of mediums, including video and social media, along with the interpersonal skills needed to work in a complex, matrixed organisation
Communications consulting skills, including ability to coach and prepare senior executives for internal and external engagements, including media
Top-notch organization skills, be a self-starter and able to manage and prioritise multiple projects at one time, while meeting tight deadlines
High level organisational and time management skills
Ability to travel interstate to fulfil work requirements as required
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements
Nice to have:
Tertiary qualifications in PR/Communications and/or a related field
