We are seeking a highly organized Communications and Marketing Analyst to support a prominent regional planning agency dedicated to the growth and development of the Atlanta metropolitan area. This role is essential in helping the External Affairs team manage high-impact communications initiatives and execute large-scale events that bring the community together.

Job Responsibility:

  • Event Logistics & Planning: Serve as a primary coordinator for agency meetings and large-scale in-person events (ranging from small internal meetings to large-scale conferences with 1,500+ attendees)
  • Communications Support: Assist with writing, stakeholder outreach, and general coordination to support the broader marketing and communications strategy
  • Project Management: Manage timelines and logistics for various External Affairs initiatives, ensuring all deliverables are met on schedule
  • Administrative Support: Coordinate meeting logistics, material preparation, and on-site event execution

Requirements:

  • Proven Event Planning Experience: Hands-on experience coordinating logistics for both small meetings and high-attendance, in-person events
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to provide writing support and effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders
  • Exceptional Organization: A "project manager" mindset with the ability to handle multiple moving parts and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Professionalism: Experience working within public sector agencies or intergovernmental organizations is a plus
