The Communications Agent ensures the hotel’s communication channels—phone lines, mobile app chats, and email enquiries—operate seamlessly and with impeccable professionalism. You will provide accurate hotel and F&B information, assist guests with their requests, and promptly direct enquiries or emergencies to the appropriate departments, all while upholding an elevated guest experience.
Job Responsibility:
Handle all phone, chat, and email enquiries promptly and graciously, directing requests to the appropriate department
Deliver exceptional hospitality in every interaction—accommodating special requests, assisting with guest feedback, and providing accurate information on hotel services, operating hours, facilities, in-house events, directions, and technology services (internet, telephone, facsimile)
Manage guest concerns and feedback in accordance with hotel policies, ensuring timely and thoughtful resolution
Ensure all communication systems: telephone switchboard, property management system, and fax equipment are operated and maintained in optimal condition
Monitor and respond to the hotel’s fire control panel and support emergency communications with efficiency and professionalism
Arrange accurate wake-up calls, and deliver messages and facsimiles promptly
Assist with call screening, confidential call handling, and routing needs such as transfers, forwarding, and “Do Not Disturb” requests
Support installation and basic troubleshooting of telephone and facsimile services in guest rooms and public areas
Assist with enquiries and sales of beds, pillows, and linens, including coordination of delivery or shipment
Facilitate sales of sundry and specialty items from the Gift Shop
Maintain and update Gift Shop inventory to support accurate month-end reporting
Requirements:
One (1) year of relevant experience within a top luxury brand is considered an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good organisational skills, ability to prioritize workload and handle pressure
Passion and curiosity in the luxury market
Guest-centricity and understanding the importance of guest preferences
