Qualified signing and experience of working with deaf learners in an HE context
understanding of how deafness affects learning
must possess one of the following qualifications: Signature Level 3 Certificate in Communication Support for Deaf Learners, OR Level 4 Communication Support Worker, OR Edexcel’s Professional Development Award in Communication Support Work with Deaf Learners, OR City & Guilds Communication Support Worker Level 3, OR a degree in deaf studies and ALSO Signature Level 3 qualification in BSL

Promote Meaningful Routines: Assist young people in planning and engaging in healthy daily routines that support wellbeing and structure
Crisis Management: Respond effectively and calmly to challenging behaviour and crisis situations, using approved de-escalation techniques where appropriate
