Job Description:

The Communication Supervisor oversees the operation of the telephone switchboard station, processes guest requests, and ensures excellent service delivery. The role involves managing daily reports, addressing VIP needs, and maintaining professional standards. The position requires adherence to company policies, fostering positive relationships, and contributing to organizational efficiency.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee the operation of telephone switchboard station
  • Run/review daily reports (arrivals, departures, contingency lists, shift logs, work orders)
  • Process all room/call/phone/internet related guest requests
  • Receive, record, and relay messages
  • Update and distribute property telephone directories to staff
  • Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest
  • Follow up to ensure requests have been met
  • Arrange transportation for guests/visitors
  • Address needs of VIPs
  • Dispatch bell staff or valet staff as needed
  • Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft
  • Assist management in scheduling, evaluating, and motivating employees
  • serve as a role model and first point of contact of the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process
  • Follow all company policies and procedures
  • report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager
  • ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional
  • maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • protect company assets
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
  • anticipate and address guests’ service needs

  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats
  • Enter and locate information using computers and/or POS systems
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors

Requirements:

  • Some college
  • At least 1 year of related work experience
  • No supervisory experience
  • None License or Certification
